The ASRL has stood down Adelaide star Isaiah Papali’i due to a drink driving charge.
Papali’i will miss the second round match against the Canberra Carnage, becoming the second Adelaide player this week to be stood down! This comes, after last week's quip by Attitude's Coach, who was quoted as saying, "Do the crime, do the time"! Adelaide now have two of their own missing for their Round 2 ASRL clash with Canberra, this weekend.
The club reports it was a low-range drink driving offence.
“We expect better from our players and anyone who falls short of our standards will be appropriately dealt with irrespective of the time of year or their standing within the club,” Attitude boss Mackdaddy said.
“Isaiah is extremely remorseful for his actions. He feels like he’s let his teammates, the club, our fans and his family down.
“He is now determined to win back their respect and will also be fighting hard to earn back his spot in the team.”
Papali’i has only been stood down for one game and will be available for Round 3 selection.
Further penalties may be issued after further investigations!
