The ASRL Discipline Committee has announced utility back Tyrone Phillips has been suspended indefinitely, effective immediately.
Phillips was charged with a mid-range drink-driving offence on Sunday evening and is currently in the Player Pool.
The 25-year-old met with the ASRL Disciplinary Committee on Monday with general manager Godd Treenberg making the announcement on Channel Nine’s 100% Footy program.
"Tyrone Phillips made the decision to resign from the ASRL effective immediately," Treenberg said.
"It’s been a difficult time of late and the latest thing on the weekend wasn’t good enough."
It is also rumoured that he was also one of three players alleged to have been involved in lewd videos which surfaced in the off-season.
