Darwin and Alice Springs Dingoes prop Taulima Tautai has pleaded guilty to drink-driving and has been banned from playing for one match, Darwin Today have reported.
The 31-year-old, who will be left out of the Dingoe's squad to face Partick in Round 15, is likely to be sacked by the club after today’s court case revealed he was driving while almost double the legal limit.
It’s believed to have happened just hours after the Dingoe’s defeat to Byron last Weekend when Tautai suffered concussion, with CCTV operators spotting him leaving a King Street bar at around 4am.
Tautai was then arrested for failing a roadside breath test and was banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay $1400 in fines and court costs.
The Darwin Dragons are extremely dissappoited in Tautai's actions and are considering tearing up his contract.
