The season hasn't muddied a boot yet, but Fairfield's season could be in tatters, after Josh Dugan was reported after a night out in Queensland.
This drama comes on the back of Nelson Asofa Solomona being suspended for 2 matches, just last week for his part in a brawl in Bali.
Josh Dugan is expected to be questioned by Fairfield officials and the ASRL Disciplinary Committee in the coming days over an alleged nightclub altercation in Queensland.
As first reported by The Daily Telegraph’s Dean Ritchie, the Stallion's veteran and his entourage were asked to leave an Airlie Beach nightspot on Thursday night.
Richie reports there is CCTV footage of the alleged incident, which took place both inside and outside the venue.
It is unclear what role, if any, Dugan, who was holidaying with friends, played in the reported fracas.
The alleged off-field incident comes at a delicate time for Dugan amid multiple reports the Stallions have been attempting to offload the representative centre to ease salary cap pressures at The club.
Dugan has two years to run on his four-year contract after joining the Stallions from St George Illawarra ahead of the 2018 ASRL season.
But that hasn’t stopped the Stallions shopping the former Canberra and Dragons utility to rival clubs including the English Super League in recent weeks.
The veteran of 191 ASRL games regularly came under criticism from pundits and fans throughout the 2019 campaign.
Outspoken pundit and ASRL legend Gorden Tallis caused a major stir in July when he called for the injury-plagued Dugan to retire.
The former NSW and Australia star, who played 23 games last season, has dismissed both Tallis’ criticism and rumours he is set to be pushed out of Fairfield.
