Sordid rumours are coming out of the Northern end today with word going up, down and all over the grapevine that Dawrin star utility back Latrell Mitchell feels undervalued and underpaid. With a snails pace season start with just 1 wins from 4 starts this seasons, whispers abound that this may indeed stem from friction between the player and club officials who alledgedly 'wouldn't shed a Dragons tear' if Mitchell were to find himself swept away by a decent trade offer. Desribed as 'a first class wanker' by close friends and family, it is intriguing to imagine what could happened in the month since Mitchell signed a fresh five season contract worth 675k p.a.
It is believed that grand final rivals Sydney has already tabled an offer to bring the rangy and powerful speed unit to Balmain and it has been confirmed by sources close to both coaching staffs that struggling clubs Auckland and Melbourne would be interested.
Can Darwin and Mitchell mend their divided britches? Or is Latrell destined to ply his trade elsewhere? The fate of the ASRL may depend on it.
