Rumours are circulating that star winger Josh Addo-Carr is seeking a release from Merseyside Dockers to return to Australia.
The Fox has four years to run on his current deal, however it is understood the 24-year-old has been unhappy in the northern hemisphere for some time and the franchise's relocation from Glasgow to Liverpool has increased tensions.
Addo-Carr is one of the game's most potent wingmen and it remains to be seen whether the Dockers would be willing to release the speedster, however a club source refused to rule out the prospect.
"An unhappy player is neither use nor ornament so I think the Dockers management would be prepared to talk," said the source.
"The Fox is on a long term contract so there's no pressure on the situation but Craig Hall and Elliot Kear are going great guns and every player has his price."
Dockers head coach Jim Green marked his return to the ASRL with a convincing 24-6 win at Melbourne in round five with Hall, Israel Folau, Andrew Fifita and Richard Myler touching down.
Green and his coaching staff have been running the rule over the squad in recent days and are understood to be plotting some minor tweaks to the roster.
One man who could be on the outer is William Hopoate despite the 27-year-old having five years remaining on his contract.
At least one ASRL club has enquired about the fullback's availability and with the in-form Folau and Clint Gutherson on board, the Dockers could be prepared to test the waters with Green keen to strengthen his back row options.
