The immediate playing future of a handful of ASRL players remains in limbo with no deadline on a determination of sanctions for off-field issue. Sydney Oilers star Josh Reynolds, Melbourne's Maika Sivo, new Darwin's centre Curtis Scott and unattached five-eight Tyrone May are all in legal trouble off the field, but may become unsanctioned by the ASRL despite the topic being raised on Thursday at an Australian ASRL Rugby League Commission (ASRLC) meeting.
The ASRLC has been briefed on the individual circumstances facing the players, but the ASRL has no deadline on when chief executive Turdd Greennose will make a final determination.
It comes as clubs prepare to name their squads for Round 14 of the Premier League Competition.
Reynolds, Scott and Sivo at the time of writing will be eligible.
The cases of Reynolds, Scott and Sivo do not trigger an automatic "no fault" stand down by the ASRL, but Greennose has the discretion to sideline them until their cases clear the courts.
In further news just to hand.......NRL chief executive Turddy Greennose will on Friday deliver his verdict on whether Tyrone May, Curtis Scott and Josh Reynolds can play for their clubs in round fourteen.
The ASRL will release a simple statement outlining its decision on each player, following conjecture as to whether the Scott and Reynolds cases come under the league's "no-fault" stand down rule. The ASRL Disciplinary Committee discussed the fate of the players at length during a meeting on Thursday.
We all await the decision tomorrow.......
