The 2020 Mad Barry 1 draft will start on the 1st of June at 8pm QLD time. Usual rules apply where every person will have 12 hours from when the last person has their pick. There will two draft rounds with the second round being in reverse order.
As per last season, I will be doing the draft order based on a squad strength order where the teams with the lowest number of 8/8s or a 9 in attack or defence will get higher picks. Where there is a tie, I have looked at who is higher up the ladder at the end of last regular season and awarded them a higher pick. Im not into rewarding losing.
A merit based Mad Barry will happen later on this season in order to give the new coaches a shot at getting a good position in that draft.
Here are the number of 8/8s or 9 or higher in attack or defence in each squad.
Melbourne: 13
Auckland: 9
Gold Coast: 8
