The 2020 ASRL season has been a stellar one for the Darwin Dragons. They continue to confirm their ranking as one of the games consistent powerhouses with repeated seasons of success on & off the field.
Adding to their success, fan-favourite winger Rueben Garrick has come out on top as the 2020 ASRL top try-scorer.
Leading with 10 tries, just one ahead of teammate David Fafita & Hulls surprise packet, Jackson Hastings.
Despite the disappointment of being bundled out of the finals in week 1 by Auckland, Garrick was delighted with his seasons work, & puts it down to hard work, & masterful guidance of a vodka fuelled Russian elder, who continues to show his understanding of how to build a competitive squad & get the best out of them on the field.
“What we’ve built along this season is our connection and relationships, not only as players on the field but as mates off the field. We’ve formed a great bond, and it can only get better from now.”, quipped the Russian bloke, as he eyed off the the free & available Oilers kiddies, plotting a revenge attack, originating from seasons past pilfering.
