Mad Barry 2 (2020/2021 season)
I love running the ASRL but there is one job that I absolutely hate doing. The job I hate to do is to set the order for the ASRL merit draft. I hate it because I feel it is unfair in its current form.
I feel it is unfair as there are a certain section of the ASRL group who either do a big job very well OR a smaller job weekly but cannot get up the ladder due to someone else also doing a great job but being around the ASRL longer. A guy like Mack for example has busted his butt doing a lot of jobs over time but never getting a draft order pick higher than 3 to me is not right. I may do more jobs than Mack but he should have the same chance as me to get a top pick due to him always doing those jobs that the ASRL needs done from time to time. We contribute to what the ASRL is.
So, Im fixing things up in the following way. I have done a lottery draft based on two groups. The first pool is based on people who either have done a huge job over the ASRL season OR a lot of minor jobs. Here are the pools
POOL A : Sydney (Bossman), Auckland (Bill), Hull (Dave), Adelaide (Anthony), Darwin(Dino)
POOL B: Glasgow(Heskey), Merseyside(Jim), Gold Coast(Matt)
POOL C: Scandanavia(Uncoached), Perth(uncoached)
