Adelaide have received a major boost going into this weekends finals matches with news that RSC minor premiership winning fullback Joseph Suaalii has signed an extended upgraded contract with the high flying club. Adelaide have already applied to the ASRL for special dispensation for Suaalii to play premier league next season despite being just 17 years old.
In a short statement released today, Suaalii, grinning ear to ear between Aunt Jayne and Adelaide coach McElroy had this to say.
"At such a young age, I am humbled to be at a club that not only isn't afraid to invest in young talent but also doesn't have a spit on, fits of terrifying rage dressing room mentality like a previous club/coach I won't dignify by naming'.
It is believed that Suaalli's new deal will be worth a million dollars over five seasons and increases his contract from a meagre 100k a season to a staggering 175k. Third party sponsorship from Bi-lo beans is rumoured to be keen to be his primary sponsor.
Suaalii will be playing in this weekends grand final qualifier against Trafford.
