We have had issues over time where we have held back returning players for contract bidding and have made them exempt from picking up in mad barry. I think it is time that we do away with this idea.
If we do keep the idea of holding back certain players for CB, we must come up with a criteria for which players can be held.

I thought the idea of Mad Barry was to pick up emerging stars from the junior ranks, not has beens like Inglis and Hunt

I think CB is great for returning players above the 7/6 mark but players that will come back 7/6 or less is probably better for Mad Barry. I don't mind either way. Just my thought though, who is gonna bid for K Hunt? It will then be down to whoever is quickest on the RSC pickups.
