The Adelaide and Auckland franchise have continued their recent trading bonanza this week with the news that boom 19 year old halfback will join struggling defending champions the Adelaide Attitude along with elusive utility Connor Tracey. After back to back premierships, the perenial powerhouse are languishing in second last after ten rounds with a noticeable weakness being in the halves with James Maloney looking to live out his Adelaide days as captain-coach of the Kensington Highrollers and new recruit Gareth Widdop struggling to fill his shoes. At the press conference announcing the signing of the young pair, young Walker was beaming with delight to be attached to the most successful and celebrated club in ASRL history.
''Getting a chance to learn under not only the worlds greatest player of the last decade, as well as its dominant coach, was more than a boy could ever dare to dream''
Coach McElroy was also obviously chuffed with the deal and noted that the club would build a new decade of glory around the young Queenslander, as well as other youngsters like Josh Schuster and Joseph Suaalli, all three being past Orca juniors.
