Tonight, I've had a review of the bidding process for this player. After careful consideration, I've decided to cancel this auction for Ben Currie. After I notify both parties of this decision, another auction may take place for this player. The reasons for this decision are outlined below. *There has been no rule posted in the rules section on the rules for picking up players during a season. While the rules are pretty clear for contract bidding conditions (24hrs before deadline/12hr after deadline), no rule has been posted for pick ups DURING a season. *While Bill found a player where a bid was closed after 12 hours, I did some checking in the archives for players picked up after Peter Matautai DURING a season. EVERY single player (including some picked up by Bill) were picked up after a 24 hour period. There were at least another ten links I didn't even look at, but of the 15 that I clicked, ALL 15 were claimed after a 24 hour period. allstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/1775/isaac-lukeallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/1809/ben-currie allstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/1811/nene-mcdonaldallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2038/andre-savelioallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2122/dunamis-luiallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2146/patrick-herbertallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2156/kelepi-tanginoaallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2357/tevita-tatolaallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2362/darnell-mcintoshallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2361/jake-mamoallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2408/tyrone-peacheyallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2703/joe-greenwoodallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2705/isaac-liuallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2718/nathan-peatsallstarrugbyleague.freeforums.net/thread/2717/kevin-proctorTo draw some conclusions from the evidence above, there was at least a point in time where Padds and Bill thought 12 hours was enough. There was a larger point in time where Mack, myself and any person who put bids in the above links (including Bill) who thought at one point in time that 24 hours was enough time to secure a bid. Whether the 12hr or or 24hr people are right or wrong is irrelevant because there is no rule that backs either view up. Therefore, bidding in the Ben Currie auction is deemed unfair as people are bidding for the same player under different understandings as to how the bidding process takes place. The rule WILL be posted in the rules page that 24hrs are needed before a player is won during the regular season. This is in accordance with the common understanding of winning a bid after 24 hours over the regular season for at least well over a year now.

That was more because it took that long for the response, not once did it say "24 hours up"
My protest flag is flying high.
