Auckland Orcas five-eighth Cody Walker will meet with the ASRL’s Disciplinary Committee on Monday after he reported an incident to NSW Police, claiming he is being blackmailed.
Walker was involved in an incident in October 2019, which he now says has become part of a blackmail claim.
A number of media outlets reported that the ASRL star had informed police that he had been asked for $20,000 to stop video footage of him kicking a man in the chest from going public.
The Auckland Club have acknowledged an incident involving Walker from October 2019 in a statement and said the Disciplinary Committee has been advised about the issue.
“The Auckland Orcas are aware of an incident involving player Cody Walker which took place in northern New South Wales in October 2019,” the club statement read.
“The ASRL’s Disciplinary Committee have been informed.
“At no stage has Cody Walker been the subject of a police enquiry in relation to this incident.”
The Orcas said that the enquiry had been instigated by Walker himself.

Footage has been placed on social media of the altercation......
The footage shows two unidentified men fighting on a street while several other people watch on.
Recovering from shoulder injury at the time, Walker is seen running in from out of the shot.
He kicks one of the men in the chest in an apparent attempt at breaking up the altercation.
It is unclear who the two men fighting are, or what started the fight.
Walker's manager, Matt Rose, said the former New South Wales playmaker went to police on the weekend and is co-operating fully with investigations.
"He's embarrassed that it's happened and is working with the ASRL Disciplinary Committee, the police and the Orcas to sort it out," Rose told Sporting News.
"Cody's going into a meeting this afternoon with the ASRL.
"We're just hoping the police can get to the bottom of who did it."
With the footage now being shared widely online, the blackmail attempt has come to nothing.
The Auckland Orcas released a statement on Sunday night confirming the blackmail attempt.
"The Aukland Orcas are aware of an incident involving player Cody Walker which took place in northern New South Wales in October 2019," a club statement read.
"The ASRL’s Disciplinary Committee have been informed.
"At no stage has Cody Walker been the subject of a police enquiry in relation to this incident.
"The Orcas will be making no further comment on this matter at this stage as it is part of an ongoing police enquiry instigated by Cody Walker himself."

The Cody Walker blackmail saga has taken yet another bizarre twist with a player manager reportedly being investigated by police in relation to the incident.
Walker told Nine News that he approached police on Sunday evening to report the incident to Mascot police, after his agent was called asking for $20,000 to keep a video from reaching the media.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the caller, who contacted Walker's agent Matt Rose, left a phone number which has been linked to another player manager by Mascot Police detectives.
Walker is still waiting on what punishment he will receive for kicking a man in the chest in the leaked video which surfaced on Monday afternoon.
The 30-year-old explained the circumstances behind the incident in an exclusive interview on Nine News on Monday night.
The Auckland Orcas playmaker Cody Walker is awaiting the punishment from the ASRL for his actions...... "Whatever decision the game, the club, anyone comes up with, that's what's going to happen," he said.
"I will not be appealing. I'm very, very sorry. I've let a lot of people down, my family, the club, the fans, the members, the game."
Walker revealed that the video that had surfaced was from last December, and was filmed in a period where he and his family was grieving the loss of a loved one.
