Mitchell Moses is uncertain where he will be playing his football next year and is happy to deal with the problem when it arises.
Moses has been one of Darwin’s best players in their opening seven games, however, he refused to commit to the club beyond the 2019 season.
“If I try to look into that stuff too much it does affect your game,” Moses told the Sydney ASRL Herald.
“I have left it fully up to my management. I’ve said to them whenever a deal comes up or something comes up, you let me know. Other than that I am playing footy for the Dragons and I have my head down.”
When queried about whether the Dragons would be his first choice, Moses weaved around the question.
Rumours are rife that the Melbourne Monsters are interested in Moses' services for next season.
“I want to fully focus on Darwin. We weren’t great last year at all. My full focus this year is to get Darwin back to the top. My management is looking after all the contract stuff. Whenever that pops up, they will come to me.”
Moses claims his dominant performances have been helped by those around him.
“My team is putting me in a good position to do those things,” Moses said.
“Everyone that is coming in is doing a job for us. Our back five is laying a platform for me and the forwards are providing a platform for me to kick on the front foot.
That sort of thing is a credit to all the other players. They’re doing a great job.”
Moses is not the only Darwin player who is out of contract at the end of the season, with players such as Solomone Kata, Felise Kaufusi and Kurt Mann also falling under that category.
The Dragons play Melbourne this weekend, which will give the Monsters are close up view of Moses' talents.
