Currently a 7/8.
What a season this bloke is having and arguably the best in the ESL this season. Will be first selected for England.
12 games
Attack: NUMBER 1 in the ESL for metres gained with 1573 metres. 131.1 metres a game (huge for a second rower) 12 line breaks. (3rd in ESL/Only forward in the top 20) 5 tries. (only forward in the top 20) 4 try assists (only forward in the top 20) 49 tackle busts (number 1 for forwards in the ESL)
For a second rower those stats are insane.
Defence: NUMBER 3 in the ESL for tackles made. Has made 37.42 tackles a game with 449 tackles and just 14 missed so he is solid as a rock defence wise.
I think 9/9/5/5/8 is very fair considering he is number 1 for metres in the league and produces such a high number of line breaks, tries and tackle busts and can obviously put on tries for others too. Defence speaks for itself with such a high output yet 96% + tackle completion rate.

I’m struggling with this.
He has had a very good season and is arguably the best back row in ESL but a 9/9 suggests he’s the best in the world (which he isn’t).
If we’re rating on stats alone then Mack has a good case but I think we have to give proper consideration to the standard of ESL versus the standard of NRL. The gulf is significant and this is a particularly weak ESL at present with the exception of 4/5 clubs. Some teams have played 11 games and others have played 8 so this also needs to be considered when looking at stats.
My opinion is that an 8/8/5/5/8 is a fair rating for Farrell (which would be the highest rated back row in ESL) but if the view is that stats carry extra weight then a 9/8/5/5/8, but we could end up with a lot of ESL players rated overly high in comparison to NRL.

Its all personal, if your stats driven, your call, if you judge by what you see, thats up to you as well. Its been a topic of much discussion for some time, pommy stats can be misleading. AS long as you use your common sense & rate a player as to what you see as his ability, thats all that counts. Its why we all get a vote. He is a classic 8/8 based on his ability. I'll go with 8/9 because I believe defence stats is a lot more reliable as a guide. A 9 attack in the ESL needs to be a total standout. Has he ever kicked a ball? There are no 9/9 back rowers in the sim, making his 9/9 a claim to the best in the business. He is far from that 8/9/1/1/7

I am struggling with this one as well. The other two stat appeals today were very easy ones to give and pretty obvious. I've been shuffling this one in my head for 30 minutes and still have no clear answer on what he should be.
On stats, he is a 9 attack indeed. In defence, he is absolutely a 9 defence. I've always said that players need to be rated according to what they do in their own competition.
In no way on Earth do I think Farrell could come across to the NRL and replicate those stats. In saying that, I doubt Bevan French would either and the vast majority of us gave him a 9. Im giving him a 9/9 on the sole basis of rating him based on the competition he is in.
Im going to take a shower now after typing that.
9/9/1/1/7

I still think on average, every ESL player should be a stat down on nrl players with similar records. An 8/8 is a far more accurate reflection of his ability than 9/9. But, we have been rating them on how they go in their own comp and I've given the 9/9 due to being consistent. I won't lie in that I bloody hate giving that rating...lol.

That 9/9 just does not sit well with me, even after a day of thinking about it....especially after just 12 games and achieving those results in an ESL competition.
Im with Bill and Jim on this one. I feel he is a classic 8/8. I'll go with 8/9 though as a nod towards those stats and defence more accurate in regards to painting an accurate picture. I think a 9/9 would need to be over a longer period than 12 games though. I've changed my mind on his final rating.
8/9/1/1/7

I've always considered Fzrrell as an 8/8, but the stars show him better. I will go for 8/9
