Capetown jumped out of the blocks last season only to fade away quickly after the first few rounds, after a good round 1 win against Sydney new coach Jason Sparrow is hopeful history won't repeat itself. "I think we have recruited well in the pre season and should have enough depth to cover injuries as well as keep pressure on our starting side to perform well".
The Ravens face a tough challenge this week against the inform Raptors who beat Canberra fairly easy last week, coach sparrow has said "we need to be on our game especially in defence, we need to limit the chances for the Raptors outside backs they were very good last week". Coach sparrow believes their attack will come of the back of good defence and ball control.
Captain Johnathon Thurston is happy with the combination he and Trent Hodkinson are forming after a good performance from both in round 1. "Trent and myself worked really hard together in the pre-season and we have some room for improvement". When asked about Corey Norman coming of the bench this year Thurston said "I think its the best for the team and I think Corey will make a good impact player when the opposition gets tired.
The Ravens are hoping for a big crowd against the Raptors in which should be a tight contest. "The Home crowd advantage might be the difference at fulltime, I'm hoping all our supporter can get out to the game this week" said coach Sparrow.

Um, something that the Sparrow and I are in complete agreement upon...
"...why are we waiting? whyyyy are we waiting? why are we waiting, why, oh, why?"
Right before running out onto the pitch, the Raptors saw a HUGE boombox in their shed, and saw Theo press "play"...and this played...
