As feathers continue to fly and the dust settles, the landscape of the coming finals series becomes more apparent. In an unpredictable seasons it is a group of underdogs who have taken the ASRL bull by it's horn.
1.Gold Coast Crusade
The Crusade faithful can almost taste their first minor premiership in over a decade. The trio of Corey Thompson, Ethan Lowe and Liam Marshall are prime examples of this seasons rise of the peasants over so-called established stars in this seasons league.
2.North Queensland Dolphins
Similar to The Crusade it has been the stroke and fervour of two almost unknowns in the Dolphins amazing run this season. Drew Hutchison was a last mnute signing and along with perrenial rsc player Kerrod Holland, with both the two leaders of the revolution in the north.
3.Canberra Carnage
A three pronged attack in the centres from Papalli, Croker and Michael Jennings have seen the Carnage creep up the ladder in the last few rounds.
4.Rochdale Raptors
The Raptors will be hoping for a run to match their early season invincibility otherwise Adelaide, Auckland, Darwin or Glasgow will be happy to take their spot.
5.Adelaide Attitude
A flogging of hopeless Capetown has cleaned up their for and against as the typically end of season strong Adelaide make their run for repat glory.
6.Auckland Orcas
Another team eyeing that open 4 to 6 position with a few key wins in the final rounds. Auckland will be looking to finally to get back the glory of a few years gone by.
7.Melbourne Monsters
Chris Houston at fullback was perhaps the wrong play against a Canberra side with kicking credentials in the halves. Melbourne look to be far removed from their early season dominance.
8.Fairfield Stallions
ALA Melbourne the Stallions bubble has seemingly crashed with a loss to lowly Sydney.
9.Darwin Dragons
After breaking records against Capetown in round 12 Darwin felt the opposite end of the stick from lordly North Queensland in round 13. Still will like their chances of a finals berth with 5 rounds to go.
10.Glasgow Reapers
The upsy downsys of the 2018 season still have hope for a finals berth after many seasons adrift. Round 14 will be do or die for Heskys boys.
11.Brisbane Cougars
As always just one win away from a reign of terror on fellow coaches, Brisbane are also in the sink or swim category in round 14.
12. Sydney Oilers
Another captivating performance this round has catapulted Sydney up the rankings. A proud Roger Bossert will be looking to at least ruin some finals dreams before this season is done.
13.Hull Kr
Still locked in the battle of the sppon, it hasnt been Hulls year despite a fine squad.
14.Capetown Ravens
A horror run for the Ravens and little hope of a win before 2018 is over.
