A season comes down to four last rounds. Competition is fierce for positions 3 to 6 with the minor premiership looking almost certain to fall to the Gold Coast despite North Queenslands best efforts. Sydney, Hull and Capetwon will be vying to avoid humiliation at the other end of the spectrum.
1.Gold Coast Crusade
Nervous days but a 3 point gap in first place means they are maybe one North Queensland loss from a maiden minor premiership for Coach Matt.
2.North Queensland Cowboys
This years Brisbane Cougars with a deft run since round 3 making them look odds on favourites for a first up title for Coach Bailey. A match up against premiers Adelaide this round will make or break their run to the finals.
3.Fairfield Stallions
This years real shock package as a club full of relative underlings has kept themsleves hovering around the top 4 almost all season.
4.Canberra Carnage
A loss in Round 13 has stunted the quiet ascendency of Canberra who can still miss out on a spot in 6 if results dont go their way.
5.Rochdale Raptors
The Spider monkeys of the ASRL who somehow still manage to cling to and never quite lose their spot in the lower top 6.
6.Darwin Dragons
Just snuck home against lowly Sydney this round. Not the momentum they want coming into the finals.
7.Adelaide Attitude
A vital win over Auckland keeps the blood thirsty Attitude on the cusp of the 6.
8.Auckland Orcas
There will be gnashing of teeth galore at the Orcas this week after losing to Adelaide puts their season in dire straits.
9.Brisbane Cougars
Fans will be hoping for a return of Coach Maunder to spring mriacles as time is almost out for the Cougars on season 2018.
10.Glasgow Reapers
ALA Brisbane and Auckland Glasgow can not afford a loss in this coming round or it will be curtains on a promising 2018 for them.
11.Melbourne Monsters
Have gone completely off the rails in the last few rounds falling from low to low.
12.Sydney Oilers
Have shown signs of life in the last few rounds albeit too late.
13.Hull Kr
Just like Sydney showing signs of passion in the later rounds but it has been a season of narrow losses that have defined this year for Hull.
14.Capetown Ravens
Abanadoned by their coach and all but the most steadfast of their fans, the ravens have had a miserable season with Thurston almost unsighted.
