How the fickle wind has turned its back on the once great clubds of Adelaide and Auckland. Adelaide, not more than a season removed from championship gold, and the Orcas, who still carry a faint ambience of a back to championship in the last half decade.
Both clubs received boo's from their own fans this past round as Adelaide stumbled to a second straight loss and Auckland unable to achieve a single point on this seasons table after three rounds.
Although both clubs lost in close matches against solid opponents, it nevertheless leaves them dwelling about the bottom of the table with cursed duo Capetown and Hull who have barely won a hlaf dozen games between them in the last twelve months. Dark times indeed.
Adelaide have been the victim of many a cruel injury this season and season past but clubs that have pushed past them on squads that some might deign far less superior.
How long do the people of Auckland, Adelaide, Capetown and Hull put up with this mediocrity? Could it be that this is the year of the rolling heads for coaches far and wide? Round 4 will be notably tense for these underperforming coaches.
